Abstract: Gramsci’s hegemony theory gave emotion an important position. To revisit Gramsci is to regard emotion as a social construction that forms a trialistic discourse with an economic base and superstructure. The development of society as a whole takes this trialistic structure, which may provide a new direction for semiotic Marxism.
