媒介社会学论坛（2021）：美国社会学会传播、信息技术与媒介社会学分会
2021年8月5日，由美国社会学会传播、信息技术与媒介社会学分会（Communication, Information Technologies, and Media Sociology）主办的2021年度媒介社会学论坛（Media Sociology Symposium）将在线上举行。
本年度会议的主旨发言人为牛津大学互联网研究院的Ralph Schroeder教授，还设有特别专场“十字路口上的工作：数字工作的机遇、挑战和不平等”（Work @ a Crossroads: Opportunities, Challenges & Inequalities of Digital Work），由Anabel Quan-Haase （Western University）和Christo Sims（University of California）组织。
投稿截止日期为6月15日。2020年度论坛由于新冠肺炎疫情而被迫取消，组委会也邀请入选者参加2021年度会议。
根据组委会公告，2022和2023年会计划在洛杉矶和费城举行。

2021 Virtual Media Sociology Symposium

Keynote Speaker: Ralph Schroeder
As ASA has gone virtual for Chicago 2021, the Media Sociology Symposium is following suit. Plans are in the works for 2022 in Los Angeles when we hope to have another f2f meeting. Thanks to Julie Wiest who did an amazing job hosting the event in 2019, plans are also underway for our 2023 meeting in Philadelphia.
This year’s virtual event features Keynote Speaker Professor Ralph Schroeder of the Oxford Internet Institute, as well as the panel “Work @ a Crossroads: Opportunities, Challenges & Inequalities of Digital Work” organized by Anabel Quan-Haase (Western University) & Christo Sims (University of California).

If you were accepted last year, you are invited again! All accepted submissions for the 2020 event will be honored in 2021 as the event at UC Berkeley event had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
We look forward to seeing you virtually in 2021, in Los Angeles in 2022, and Philadelphia in 2023!
