New Literary Codes in the E-topia Era

Abstract: Integrated into a highly developed network society, writers in Hong Kong and Taiwan are adept at making use of new elements in cyberspace to imaginatively represent the E-topia era; they produce hybrid images interweaving E-topia, utopia and dystopia. The young and middle-aged writers in this hybrid era, whose works are strongly marked by intergenerational signs, have invented “neo-humanism”, a new approach to literature in the twenty-first century.
