尊敬的各位先生/女士：
第三届国际汉字汉语文化研讨会拟定于2017年11月3-5日在美国塔夫茨大学召开。本次研讨会将围绕汉字汉语文化研究，以及与汉字汉语教学有关的问题进行深入广泛的研讨，旨在增进汉字汉语文化研究和教学的国际交流，促进汉字汉语文化研究的深入和推广，提高汉字汉语教学的水平。
本次会议由北京师范大学文学院、塔夫茨大学文理学院与俄克拉荷马大学文理学院联合主办，北京师范大学汉字与中文信息处理研究所与塔夫茨大学孔子学院承办，北师大资深教授王宁先生为研讨会学术主持人。
会议工作语言为中文和英文。
会议正在征集论文，有意参加本次会议的学者请于2017年7月31日前通过电子邮箱向会议主办方提交1000-1500字的中英文论文提要。所提交论文经5位匿名专家审阅，录用通知将在2017年8月31日前寄发。

Notice forthe Third International Symposium on the
Culture of Chinese Characters and Language（No.2）
Dear Sir / Madam,
The Third International Symposium on the Culture of Chinese Characters and Language will be held on November3-5, 2017, atTufts University (Boston, USA). The theme of the conference will be on the research of the culture of Chinese characters and language, as well as other issues related to the teaching and studying of Chinese characters and language.The purpose of the symposium is to facilitate international exchanges among scholars on the culture of Chinese characters and language, strengthen and broaden its research and improve the standard in teaching and learning of Chinese characters and language.
The sponsoring organizations are School of Chinese Language and Literature, Beijing Normal University (BNU), School of Arts and Sciences, Tufts University (TU),and College of Arts and Sciences, the University of Oklahoma (OU). The symposium is organized by the Institute of Chinese Character and Chinese Information at Beijing Normal University and the Confucius Institute at Tufts University. Madam WANG Ning, senior professor at Beijing Normal University, will be the academic moderator.
The working languages are Chinese and English.
The symposium is calling for proposals. Please submit an abstract with 1000 - 1500 characters/words (both in Chinese and English) through email before July 31, 2017. Abstracts will be reviewed by five anonymous experts. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by August 31, 2017.
