2021年5月27日，国际传播学会（ICA）2021年会前会之“组织传播博士生论坛”（Organizational Communication Doctoral Consortium）将在线上举行。

三、申请方式
Doctoral students who are interested in participating can register by sending an email to Boris H. J. M. Brummans, Vice-Chair of ICA’s Organizational Communication Division (boris.brummans@umontreal.ca), by 1 May 2021.
四、申请要求
In this email, students are asked to include one question they would like faculty mentors to address during the preconference. Students who are not yet ICA members are asked to indicate this in their email as well.
五、论坛主题
Rationale:
The organizational communication discipline may have been founded in the U.S., but the field has become a truly international community of scholars. Doctoral students therefore need to know how prepare for and manage their careers glocally, that is, locally (at their home institutions and in their local communities) as well as globally (through international research collaborations,publications in international peer-reviewed journals, professional associations such as ICA, and so on).
This virtual consortium will help students in their endeavor to become international communication researchers by bringing together emerging and senior scholars from around the world who work on a glocal stage. They will offer advice and insights on topics including:
1. applying for academic positions in different parts of the world;
2. transitioning from graduate school to becoming a professional colleague in an academic institution in a particular country and the larger field of organizational communication;
3. cultivating collaborations with researchers in organizational communication as well as other disciplines across the world to address glocal scholarly and social problems;
4. taking into account local and global considerations regarding publishing your work;
5. teaching in and engaging with internationally diverse institutions and communities;
6. dealing with institutional expectations in different countries and cultures;
7. maintaining a healthy work-family life while developing an international career.
此次活动由国际传播学会组织传播分会主办，目的是打造组织传播研究领域的青年学者和资深学者的交互平台，为博士生们未来的国际学术工作提供指导，包括在国际学术期刊发表文章，参与国际学术组织工作等。
