《符号与传媒》2015年秋季号出版

编者的话 

所有的符号文本,不包含情节的为陈述,包含情节的为叙述。人的存在浸透在叙述式表意之中,由于历史原因,叙述学一直围绕着小说展开。广义叙述学为研究所有叙述提供一个基础理论,因此是符号学的一支。作为一个新的学术生长点,广义叙述学必将面临批评和挑战:本辑广义叙述学专辑中,刘俐俐从文学研究的角度出发,探讨了面对广义叙述学的机遇和挑战;卡罗尔•科拉特雷拉(Carol Colatrella)、卓雅、方小莉、陈新儒四位学者则针对不同叙述体裁展开讨论,对广义叙述学的应用性进行了卓有成果的探索。

认知科学作为一个近年来发展迅速的领域,与符号学的结合不断拓宽各自的视野。在本辑的认知符号学专辑中,戈兰·索内松(Göran Sonesson)、赵毅衡、胡易容、薛晨几位学者分别从图像修辞,认知符号学的人文、科学界限以及认知科学与符号学历时演进的角度,探索了两门学科的协同、交融与发展。

回顾与总结是理论推演的基础,也是其创新的动力之一。本辑中,张智庭、聂志平对巴黎符号学学派、索绪尔《普通语言学教程》进行了历史与理论的梳理,彭佳从皮尔斯、洛特曼的理论出发进行文化标出的考察。同时,我们也将看到唐小林对符号媒介论的构建,以及任海以电影为入口展开的艺术对现实反思的探讨。

符号学、叙述学不断纵深发展,本辑也仅能以有限的篇幅展现其中的些许光彩。我们很高兴,也很荣幸能为诸位提供这样一个对话的空间,展现思想的碰撞与交流,呈现人文学科的纷呈精彩。

 

我们期待着更多的声音。

 

Editor’s Note 

Among all the sign texts, which of plot are narrative texts, while those plotless ones are statement. The existence of human beings is immersed in the narrative signification, but narratology keeps centering on novels due to some historical reasons. As for general narratology, it becomes a branch of semiotics for providing a fundamental theory for all narrative. Hence, as a new academic growth point, it will inevitably face challenges and criticism. In the section General Narratology, Liu Lili takes literature studies as the point of departure to explore the opportunities and challenges that general narratology might encounter. Other essays by Carol Colatrella, Zhuo Ya, Fang Xiaoli and Chen Xinru study different narrative genres and make fruitful achievements correspondingly.

Cognitive science has boomed in recent decades. Through the disciplinary combination of semiotics and cognitive science, the vision of both disciplines has expanded. In the section on Cognitive Semiotics, Göran Sonesson studies the nature of the pictorial metaphor. In addition, three other works by Zhao Yiheng, Hu Yirong and Xue Chen focus on the integration and development of cognitive science and semiotics through a study of the disciplinary boundary of cognitive semiotics and the diachronic evolution of the two disciplines.

Review and summary contribute to the foundation of theoretical evolution, whilst also adding impetus to theoretical innovation. In this issue, Zhang Zhiting and Nie Zhiping focus on the history and theories of the ‘Paris school’ of semiotics and its course in general linguistics given by Saussure, whilst Peng Jia explores the cultural distinctiveness of the theory of Peirce and Lotman. Tang Xiaolin and Ren Hai separately ponder the theory of the vehicles of signs and artistic reflections of reality from the entry point of film.

Due to space constraints, this issue reveals a mere glimpse of the ever-deepening field of semiotics and narratology. Nevertheless, we feel honored to provide a platform for dialogue that reflects the collision of ideas and displays some of the highlights of the humanities.
