Abstract: Just as the definition in ShuoWen, “Yao,” regarded as the original sign in ZhouYi, actually refers to the exchange of Yin and Yang. The thinking mode of “taking from the body” in ZhouYi determines that the exchange of Yin and Yang is ultimately expressed as the exchange of Man and Woman of our own being. This exchange of Man and Woman implies the genuine secret of all interpersonal relationships historically and logically, and also establishes the pattern of “life interaction” both socially and naturally. In addition, it reveals the decree of “symbolic exchange”, characterized by exchanging gifts in ZhouLi through intercourse of Yi and Li in ZhouYi. Therefore, “reciprocity” of ZhouLi is not so much an abstract and physical attribute as a specific intercourse of a human’s life. The essence of deciphering this contact not only gives us the opportunity to deeply understand the ancient Chinese principle of “JiaoDao”, but also spares no effort to support the centrality of humanity of interpersonal interaction. It provides the important frame of reference for us to face the crisis of increasing materialistic and commercial human communication.
