一、会议介绍

2018年到2020年,由上海交通大学上海交大-南加州大学文化创意产业学院主办的全球文化创意产业合作与发展国际会议已成功举办三届。2021124日至5日,上海交大-南加州大学文化创意产业学院将主办第四届全球文化创意产业合作与发展国际会议,本届会议主题为文创发展与世界共享

在全球从新冠肺炎疫情恢复之时,文化创意产业为社会经济注入了前所未有的活力和能量,也成为传统产业突破重围的引擎与抓手。随着文化创意产业的转型和升级,与之相合的人才培养方式和研究产出路径也处于不断变化之中。与此同时,国际合作仍应是文创领域发展的重要支撑,只有通过共享国际经验、共商国际问题和共赢国际效应,文创产学研才能真正迈向新高度。

第四届全球文化创意产业合作与发展国际会议将以“文创发展与世界共享”为主题,携手海内外学者和业界人士一起探索全球疫情恢复期文化创意产业的发展挑战、出路及未来走向等一系列问题。大会将通过举办院长论坛、期刊主编和主题分论坛等研讨活动,从数字传播、数字文娱、品牌文创、文创设计、文创教育和传统文化等视角进行深度讨论,以期通过大会与世界学者共商文创发展成果,推动全球文创产学研的进一步发展。

二、论文征集

第四届全球文化创意产业合作与发展国际会议希望征集探讨以下话题的文章摘要和讨论组提案,包括但不限于:

l  数字传播

本论坛主要关注数字传播技术相关的理论和实践研究,包括但不限于:数字传播技术相关的采用、使用、应用、媒介效果及其心理、社会和政策影响等。

l  数字平台

本论坛从多元的理论和方法视角推动对数字平台的历史、组织、结构、经济、管理和文化等方面的研究。我们以开放的视野欢迎对各类数字平台的创新性解读,包括但不限于:互联网和社交媒体、广播、音乐、视频、出版、电子游戏、移动应用等。

l  数字娱乐

本论坛欢迎关于数字娱乐产业和流行文化的相关研究,主要话题包括但不限于:电子游戏、虚拟现实、增强现实、混合现实、计算机模拟、音乐、动画和其他创新的数字娱乐形式。我们鼓励从学术理论、实证研究、产业发展等视角进行多元的跨学科对话。

l  影视传媒

本分论坛欢迎各类关于影视传媒领域的跨学科探讨,包括对新兴数字娱乐形态、及其对传统影视传媒影响的相关研究。我们欢迎来自学术、产业的研究者对一系列的当代媒介文化与视听娱乐产业问题展开讨论。

l  创意经济

基于创意经济理论与实践,探讨新经济时代科技发展与产业升级下数字化转型对创意经济的作用与影响,创意经济产业包括:文化艺术、影视、戏剧、音乐、流媒体、出版、游戏,以及媒体传播和移动通讯等。

l  创意城市

本分论坛聚焦于数字化经济与技术转型浪潮中的全球文化创意城市,旨在通过技术、经济、社会、政策等相关创新的系统分析,从而加强对全球城市在高速发展时代下的文化认同、历史传承与形象传播等议题的讨论。

l  品牌文创

多维度研究视角,探讨在全球化与本土化以及数字新经济背景下,不同产业领域品牌管理在文创赋能下的新挑战和新机遇。

l  文旅融合

基于多学科交叉研究文旅融合,探讨新消费升级背景下文化产业与旅游产业的融合以重构体验经济产业链创新价值。

l  文博展览

此分论坛聚焦于文博和展览的策划、创意、设置和观众参与。在当下的文博展览领域,创意主体使用多形态多触感的方式剖入社会议题和展示创意深度。此分论坛邀请策展人、艺术家和学者讨论文博展览的内容生产、艺术架构和社会影响。

l  传统文化

此分论坛关注全球化下的传统文化的历史脉络和创新传承。在全球文创产业快速碰撞的时代,传统文化具有前所未有的生命力。此分论坛邀请各地传统文化的实践者、政策制定者和研究者探讨传统文化的符号元素、多重影响和传承方式。

l  文创与设计

本论坛广泛关注设计在文创产业中的运用、影响及其二者的关系。本论坛的研究选题包括但不限于:文化创意产品开发、传统手工艺、创意设计过程、设计方法和辅助工具开发、设计管理以及业内优秀设计实践等等。

l  创新与创造力

此论坛专注于探究创新与创造力在文化创意产业中所扮演的重要角色。该论坛着力于为有关创新和创造力的使用、影响、机制、提升方法、技术支持以及心理和社会影响的相关理论、方法和应用做出贡献。

l  文创与艺术

本论坛旨在增进我们对艺术在文化创意产业中的重要性的理解。该论坛接收议题广泛,能够阐释艺术在文创产业中的角色即可,对艺术门类与形式不做限制。可选题目包括但不限于:艺术创作、艺术理论和历史研究、艺术教育、艺术管理、新技术的运用、以及心理和社会影响。

l  国家形象

此分论坛探讨国家形象在数字时代的全球传播。在世界共享和共同发展的前景下,国家形象的塑造和传播对于全球交流和文化共进具有重要意义。此分论坛邀请对此议题感兴趣的专家剖析国家形象构建的创意过程、传播方式和全球引力。

l  文创教育

本分论坛旨在促进国际化与数字化背景下的文化创意产业教育研究,包括各类文创学术、专业学位与非学位项目的教学研究议题。文创教育涵盖了文化创意产业的方方面面,包括但不限于:美术、音乐、戏剧、广播、电影、电视、电子游戏、创意与数字媒体,文化与旅游、艺术与文化管理、文化历史与理论研究等,我们欢迎上述领域的教育教学研究讨论。

征集论文细节:

1. 写作语言:中文或英文皆可。

2. 字数要求:详细摘要超过500字;论文全文控制在6000-13000字,包括摘要、图表、参考文献等在内。

3. 论文规范:请遵循APA规范。

4. 提交格式:请提交MS wordPDF格式。

5. 论文全文与文中所用图片原图(psd/jpg)分两个文件夹发送。

论文摘要和全文提交日期:

1. 2021615日前:提交参会人基本信息、论文题目和详细摘要(500字以上);

2. 2021715日前:通知学术委员会评定结果;

3. 参评优秀论文者请在2021111日前提交论文全文(6000-13000字);

1. INTRODUCTION

USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (hereinafter referred to as ICCI) is proud to host the fourth International Conference on Global Cultural and Creative Industries. The conference will take place in Shanghai from December 4 to 5, 2021, and will focus on the theme of the "Development of Cultural and Creative Industries in the Shared World."

As the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, cultural and creative industries have imbued society with unprecedented vitality and energy, helping to fuel traditional economic sectors. With the restructuring and upgrading of the cultural and creative industries, pedagogical approaches and research paradigms alike are also undergoing fundamental transformation. Meanwhile, global collaboration remains essential to these fields. Only through transnational exchange, the discussion of global issues, and the mutual benefits of international cooperation can these industries attain new heights.

Under the theme of the “Development of Cultural and Creative Industries in the Shared World," the 2021 International Conference on Global Cultural and Creative Industries endeavors to bring together international and domestic scholars as well as industrial professionals in order to explore the potentialities and latest cutting-edge research in the cultural and creative industries. Panel topics will include ‘Digital Communication’, ‘Digital Entertainment’, ‘Cultural and Creative Industry & Art’, ‘Education in Cultural and Creative Industries’, ‘Traditional Culture’, Deans’ Forum, and Editors’ Forum. We hope this conference can serve as a site for scholars, practitioners, and policy-makers across the world to make a lasting contribution to the field of cultural and creative industries.

2.CALL FOR PAPERS

2021 International Conference on Global Cultural and Creative Industries calls for abstracts and panel proposals on the following topics, including but not limited to:

l  Digital Communication

This panel is concerned with technology and digital content in human communication processes. It is committed to enhancing theory and developing new methodologies pertaining to the adoption, use, applications, effects, and the psychological, social, and policy implications of communication technologies.

l  Digital Platforms

This panel promotes the study of the history, organization, structure, economics, management, and cultural impact of new media platforms from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives. We define new media platforms broadly and seek research related to the creative industry - including, but not limited to: the internet and social media, radio, music, video streaming, publishing, electronic games, and mobile applications.

l  Digital Entertainment

This panel welcomes research from multiple disciplines that investigates the entertainment industry and popular culture in some capacity, including but not limited to: the study of video/digital games, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, simulations, music, animations, and other new forms of digital entertainment. We encourage scholarly investigation, analysis, and dialogue among media researchers and industry practitioners interested in a wide variety of contemporary popular culture.

l  Films and Media

This panel welcomes research from multiple disciplines that investigates film, television and media in some capacity, including the study of new forms of digital entertainment and their impact on traditional film, television and media. We encourage scholarly investigation, analysis, and dialogue among media researchers and industry practitioners interested in a wide variety of contemporary media culture and audio-visual entertainment.

l  Creative Economy

This panel is committed to enhancing the research of principle and practice within the creative industries’ response to transformations in digital economy and technology innovation, including, but not limited to: culture and fine art, film, theatre, music, gaming, publishing, video streaming, as well as media communication and mobile applications.

l  Creative Cities

This panel is concerned with global cities’ response to recent major transformations in digital economy and technological innovation. It is committed to enhancing the cultural identity, heritage and image of global cities in a rapidly changing world, through investigating technological, economic, social, and policy implications related to innovation.

l  Brand Management with Culture and Creativity

This panel welcomes research from multiple viewpoints into brand management in various industriesdiscussing the challenges and opportunities of globalization and localization, as well as digitalization in the new economic era.

l  Convergence of Cultural and Tourist Industries

This panel welcomes research from multiple disciplines that explore the convergence of cultural industries and tourism in leveraging and rebuilding to meet the demand of upgrading new consumption, mainly from new generation.

l  Museums and Exhibitions

This panel focuses on curation, design, and audience participation in museums and exhibitions. In the digital age, creative workers and organizations use multi-modal and multi-perspectival ways to explore social issues and present creative work. This panel invites curators, artists, and scholars to discuss content creation, artistic frameworks, and the social influence of museums and exhibitions. 

l  Traditional Culture

This panel covers the historical trajectory and creative inheritance of traditional culture in the age of globalization. In the rapid development of global cultural and creative industries, traditional culture has acquired unprecedented vitality. This panel welcomes practioners, policy-makers, and researchers to explore the symbolic elements, paths of influence, and communication patterns of traditional culture.

l  Cultural and Creative Industry & Design

This panel is broadly concerned the study of the adoption, influence and interaction of design in the cultural and creative industry. The range of research perspectives found within the Division includes but is not limited to cultural and creative product development, traditional handicraft, creative design processes, design methods and support tools, design management, and industrial design practices.

l  Innovation & Creativity

This panel is concerned with the essential role of innovation & creativity played in the cultural and creative industry. It is committed to contributing to the theory, methodology and applications pertaining to the use, influence, mechanism, enhancement, technical support, and psychological & social implications of innovation & creativity.

l  Art and the Cultural and Creative Industries

This panel encourages submissions that advance our understanding of the importance of art in the cultural & creative industry. The panel proposals on a broad range of topics that exemplify the importance and impact of art in all its various forms. Topics of interest range from artistic creation, art theory & history, art education, arts management, adoption of new technology in artistic practice, and the psychological and social influence of the visual arts.

l  National Images

This panel examines the global communication of national images in the digital era. When the world shares the same future and develops as a whole, the construction and communication and national images is critical for global communication and cultural progress. This panel invites experts in this field to discuss the creative process, communication modes, and global traction of national images.

l  Education in the Cultural and Creative Industries

This panel explores the study of education in the cultural and creative industries, encompassing research as well as professional degree and non-degree programs, in the context of internationalization and digitalization.  We define cultural and creative industry broadly, and seek research related to but not limited to the educational efforts in following areas: fine art, music, theater, radio, film, television, electronic games, creative and digital media, culture and tourism, management in art and cultural industry, and historical and theoretical studies in culture.

Specific requirements:

1) Writing language: Chinese or English

2) Extended abstract wordcount requirement: 500 words or more; Full paper: 6000-13000 words, including abstracts, charts, references, etc.

3) Paper specification: please follow APA guidelines.

4) Submission format: please submit in MS word or PDF format.

5) Send figures, pictures, tables, and etc. as a separate file along with the full paper.
